Yes, the Giv.care app runs on Apple or Android smartphones running up-to-date operating systems. A data plan is also required so you can submit your notes to get paid.
You can sign up and we’ll add you to our network of caregivers. However, most caregivers will join to work with a specific person or family. Without that connection, it may take more time to begin receiving shift invites.
The background check searches for criminal charges or convictions within the past 10 years. If you have a felony or misdemeanor on your record, your application will need to be reviewed by the state and may result in a delay or rejection. If your application goes before the state, you can submit additional information to support your case.
Some misdemeanors do not need to be reviewed by the State but should still be disclosed in your application such as: a violation of local ordinances related to animal licenses, littering, dogs at large, noise, yard sales, land uses, storm water, utilities, business licenses, zoning, building, construction and park or access hours; failure to appear, unauthorized hunting; a failure to have the appropriate fishing license; a failure to comply with the boating safety requirements; failure to have a business license; juvenile misdemeanors except those listed in Subsection 62A-2-120(5)(a) unless there is a pattern of at least three or more similar offenses within the five years prior to the submission of the application.
We strive to pay the best hourly rate in the state of Utah. All of our caregivers are paid a flat rate of $24/hr.
As an employee of giv.care, you’re paid weekly based on the shifts you worked. Same day payout options are coming soon!
At this time, we’re unable to offer benefits to part-time and flex-time employees.
It depends on your client(s). Potential hours per week are determined by the state’s Medicaid benefit allocations for each client. The more clients you have, the more potential for hours.
All caregivers will need to get trained and certified in First Aid and CPR and, if needed, Behavioral Intervention Training. Additional person-specific training will be provided for each client. You will also receive at least 12 hours of additional training each year.
You must be at least 18-years-old to qualify to be a Medicaid reimbursed caregiver. Some exceptions apply for direct family members.

We hire your favorite caregivers (friends, family, etc…), handle all the billing, and you get to plan and schedule shifts directly with your caregivers through our mobile app.
No, the amount you work is something you can negotiate with your client(s).
